[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The males live up to their name but, confusingly, females are brown often with spots and streaks on their breasts. The bright orange-yellow beak and eye-ring make adult male blackbirds one of the most striking garden birds. One of the commonest UK birds, its mellow song is also a favourite.

Hi Les
Thanks a lot for this nice photo. I remember wandering in a forest in India looking for the Indian Blackbird( which was once considered as a subspecies of the Common blackbird-but not anymore).

With warm regards
Bala

Les,
Looks like this one is a baby.
They are quite common in Terceira, Azores; their song is most enchanting!!!
Lovely eye contact.
Balanced contrasts.
Mario from Canada with regards.

Hello Les,
A wonderful close-up view of this rather plump looking Blackbird. Good eye contact and nice white balance allowing us to see the true colors in it's plumage. I like the low POV you managed to obtain. With a dark body the yellowish orange eye ring and beak really stand out. Well done!!
Ron
