Hello,

One from the archives today, as i thought a change from the coastal scenery of late was in order and you might like this instead. It was taken during a fantastic hike through an area on Dartmoor called Dewerstone, on a very foggy and humid day last May.

some bluebell facts:

Bluebells are not restricted to woodlands. The further west in Britain you go, the more widespread bluebells become in other habitats such as grassland, heath, scrub, sea cliffs and hedge-banks. They can even be found adorning mountain sides, with the highest recorded bluebells reaching up to 685m on Craig-yr-Ysfa in Snowdonia.
Bluebell woods were once riddled with folklore... and fairies. These magical creatures were summoned by the ringing of the bluebells. Anyone who heard the flowers chime would not have long to live.

Luckily i didn't hear any chiming Bluebells and survived to tell the tale ;o)

I have increased saturation by '+ 5' in Photoshop to bring out that wonderful blue a bit more, which was subdued by the fog hanging in the air..

Hi Paul,
the overall atmosphere is really great. I didn't see the flowers on the thumbnail....I would have liked the picture even without.
Great image, cheers JAcob

Bella imagen Paul con tenues colores y una atractivo efecto lumínico que resume el sentido del título.
Me gusta el suave declive captado que se entremezcla con la niebla y que producen un agradable efecto de profundidad.
Gracias y saludos... Ricardo

Beautiful image Paul with tenuous colors and attractive light effect that it resumes the sense of the title.
I like the captured soft slope that it intermingles with the fog and that they produce a pleasant effect of depth.
Thank you and greetings... Ricardo

Hi again dear Paul ,
wow... this is wonderful shot.

excellent scenery and great composition.
very nice place.
well exposed.
thanks and regards

Hi Paul,
An other photo of your wonderful bluebell series. You really captured a beautiful moment with such a stunning feel to it. I just love the combination of the soft purple color and the fresh green color. The fog created this wonderful mood to it with the trees slowly fading into the distance. The composition is perfect, with the first tree perfectly positioned. The other trees are taking me slowly further into the scenery and onward into the fog. Really excellent work.
TFS,
Niek

This is really nice Paul. We are "socked in" with fog...but bluebells are a long ways off. Thanks for reminding us that there will be a spring again. I do like this foggy image and the pp work you did on the bluebells is nice.

hello Paul,
you have captured a lovely atmosphere here. Aren't bluebell woods a delight? Was it you that informed TN through a post of yours that bluebells are particular to the British Isles? I find that so surprising and it makes them more special somehow. They deserve this special shot.
well done
Bev

what a great misty shot you have caught here Paul.
Bluebells are a favourite of mine and this shot really does them justice. there is such a nice woodland feel about it.

Nicely done.

Emma
