[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note

this was taken at sunset today at the well known Durdle Door, on the Dorset Coast.
A combination of hard and soft rocks with erosion from the sea has helped formed this impressive stone arch. The more resistant Portland Stone forms the south seaward facing side, which has protected the softer Purbeck Limestone on the northern face.
It was suprsingly quiet for such a nice day and it was great to get some sunshine at last..

Hi paul. glad to see some more of your pictures , this is a great shot of Durdle Door. The sea looks great. Once againg the composition is very good and good colour. Well done

Hi Paul,
Nice light and colour in this shot.
The composition is effective, although I probably would have gone for a horizontal format in this case ... but that's just me.
Good work.

Hi Paul,
A nice shot, good to see a piece of England. Nice light and great soft colours, good shutter speed to soften the water. I think the detail is a little soft but that's just a minor sharpen. Nice work.

Hi Paul ,
nice shot with great composition.
light and sharpness are excellent.
well captured

Agree with Adrian about the sharpening... it was nice to get some sunshine though! Interesting that you chose the upright portrait format rather then the usual sweeping landscape format that people tend to use here... the sea weed adds interest as well...

Hi Paul,
A beautiful scene you have captured here with good color and sharpness, although I wonder what it would have looked like in landscape. Thanks for sharing your work Paul.

Nice shot with good composition, but a touch soft.
