Taken on the local lake on one of the few dry day in November. I liked the way they were all lined up.

Canada goose. (Branta canadensis) A large unmistakable goose with a upright stance and long neck giving a swan like silhouette. as the name suggests its true range is North America, but now common in England.has white cheeks on otherwise black head and neck. Body mainly grey-brown. can be seen in large flocks on lakes and reservoirs., not often seen on the coast.

Hello Nick,
Last week the weather here in Holland is just like it is in England, terrible.
What an original photo! The three geese in a row behind each other, accented by this composition. All the heads in the same direction with the light from the right. Very beautiful. Perfect DOF.

Hello Nick,

A beautiful capture of these lined up trio with splendid coloration, sharpness & composition. Great POV, timing & setting. Very well taken & presented. TFS & best regards.

Hi Nick,
nice to see you have all yer ducks in a row,er ah, geese that is!I like the line of them in the rich glow of the sun light you had at the time.I know there are many photos of geese here on TN but you can never have too many of these birds on this site or for that matter elsewhere as well.Every time I go out to photo wildlife,if geese are about I'll take some photos of them as I look for images such as yours,as that adds to the interest of the subject.I like the layers that the field of depth gives this photo from a hard focus down to the softness of the third goose and catch light gives them all such life. This photo could make a good panoramic as it is so close to the minimum size needed for the large post as it is 348x800,if it were 320x800 then all one needs to do is scale it up at this aspect ratio and keep the file size below 400K and you will have your large post picture.I like this one and thank you,Nick for sharing these Canada geese with us,it is good to know that they live in other places as well.

Hello Nicholas,
Three in a row works for me!! They look like they posed for you and showed their best side. Love the rippled water and gorgeous colors!! Super detail and excellent exposure!!

Hallo Nicholas
The photograph as a whole comes across to peaceful and has a soothing effect on the being. You have captured this lovely threesome with great clarity, showing the detail of the feathers and the black and white colours in their faces so beautifully. These Canada Geese looks so graceful in the water. The sunlight did wonders to the atmosphere captured as well as highlighting detail like the eyes with great clarity. Thanks for sharing. Best regards.

very funny and nice image!
i like the geometry and the prespective
good work!

Hi Nick,

What a dynamic and lovely capture of these ducks set out in a row.
Stunning shot, you've managed to focus in on the 1st one to create a great 3-D effect very nicely.
The framing, POV and composition are incredible too.

Hello Nick,
A great shot of a fine line-up of swimming Canada Geese. The frontal POV makes the shot attractive and artistic with a nive water pattern.
thanks and have a good weekend,

So well done it is almost as if magic....first you steal Canada's Geese (I jest) and then you teach them choreography.....very nice timing on this one Sir Nick! the vertical is perfect framing.

Hello Nick,
Very nice composition of this 3 funny Canada goose. Excellent light and DOF. Good idea! TFS,

No todo son pájaros de pequeño tamaño en esta vida jajaja. Original y efectivo formato para esta bella composición.
Saludos Nicholas.

Lovely capture Nicholas. The colours, sharpness and everything are great, but the best one is your composition. Very well done and TFS.

Hi Nick

Long time no chat...i hope you are doing well, my friend!
I see you're still taking your lovely bird shots as usual, but you really have a stunning one here! Something a bit out of the ordinary but a very refreshing break - these three swans are gorgeous.
Indeed the line-up is extraordinary and your positioning against it makes it such evident. The pov here is great but also superb is the depth your chose, gradually fading focus towards the back one.
The light on them is also gorgeous and enhances the colors while the vertical and narrow compo works perfectly.
Overall a splendid capture!

Dear Nick
If I did not know, that you ARE NOT A CHEAT - I would say your perfect presentation - is a "Workshop Production" :)

There is really nothing to add, what the 29 members have not said in their comments! Except, that I do like your photo VERY MUCH and add it to my favorites

We never discovered the Wimborne Lake on our way to "fosseling" at the coast (still allowed in the seventies)or roaming among the hedges.

You better keep dry this week-end - on my weather map for Weymouth - they predict heavy rain and wind alternating with showers and strong wind... Nothing new for November in Dorset!

Best Wishes
from hot and dry Hoedspruit

Hello Nick
Here is a rather surprising pose: in row(rank), in single file
Bravo for this very artistic image.
Thank you, best regards

Hello Nicholas
recently I have not enough time for TN since formal meetings and trips. So, I can visit your last shots now. All of them great. I select to write this post, with great vertical composition and great POV/DOF. focus and exposure also wonderful. thanks for sharing this beatiful scene. best wishes
