Large red damselfly
 |
|
[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Large red damselflies (Pyrrhosoma nymphula) are widespread and common in Britain, they are also one of the first species to be seen in the spring.
In this shot the male is clasping the female while resting on vegetation. It was a cloudy and dull day which made it a bit easier to approach the damselflies even though it didn't make for a particularly bright image.
Taken with the addition of a 1.7 teleconverter.
Cheers, Steve |

Hi Steve !
Superb macro!
A perfect contrast of color and an exceptional player.
A beautiful evening,
Adrian
Good detail and depth, could use just a bit more light and contrast. Nice macro shot.
