[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Good Morning Everyone,

Today, I am posting a shot of a very beautiful duck which I photographed at The Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust, Martin Mere. It really is a 'Duck's Playground'!

I am not absolutely sure but believe it to be a pintail. (I know there are many experts on this site who will assist if I am incorrect.) I think the subtle colour matches of the feathers is very attractive.

I went to Martin Mere last year and had a marvellous day watching the ducks in the pools, the wild ducks and swans flying in, in the afternoon, observing the birds of prey hunting over the marshes and sitting in the hides, watching a whole range of different birds.

If you would like an interesting website about Martin Mere just click here.

Many thanks for your visit.
Please feel fee to feedback on any aspect of the photograph. Bev :-)

Hello Beverley,
A fine capture of a female Pintail taken from a great POV that not only shows the plumage with fine sharpness but gives a great view of the bill. Nice composition with fine water movement.
I have been to Slimbridge years ago but not to Martin Mere, though I've heard of it.
Thanks and kind regards,
Ivan

Hi Beverley!

Indeed, it's a very beautiful duck. The colours are superb and the particular point of view highlights them as well as the delightful shapes and patterns of its plumage.

Kind regards

Hallo Beverley
The patterns and markings on this waterbird captured from above are very clear and obvious. A wonderful arrangement of colours. All in focus showing great details. Truly beautiful and a real delight to look at. Great exposure, and excellent portrayel of this beauty. I just love the cinnamon coloured feathers on its head and the yellow and black beak. Well framed and presented. Thanks for sharing. Kind regards
Anna

Hi Bev,i like a lot this point of view,i'm surprising from the icredible perfection of details and colors of the head ,and the water as background is always a great spectacle,my best compliments, have a nice day,Luciano

Your superior framing has not changed...and had I not accidentally run across your name on another s notes..I would have not caught this...it has been that long...VERY good composition of what some might call a simple creature...but you have this knack for pumping it up..and I cannot grasp how...but you alone do it so well.
Bob

Hi Beverley.
Very nice composed picture taken at so attractive POV. I also am impressed with nice lighting and delicate colouration of the picture. I hope it is result of cloudy weather and excellent exposure of the image. I welcome wide DOF, crisp details of the bird and surroundings and presentation of cute small waves on the water. My kind regards and TFS. Well done.
Alexei.
