[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
One of three Bullfinch Hens that have been visiting my feeders this year. They love Sunflower seeds but never seem to keep their beaks still, a bit like cows chewing cud. This one was taken before it got to the feeder.
Camera setting:- ISO 100, AV, Spot metering, Auto White balance, 560mm focal length, 1.4x converter, remote shutter cord.

Beautiful bird image Peter.
Lovely pose of the finch and soft color tones in the BG.
Sharpness and clarity are top and the catchlight in the eye is like cream on the coffee :)
Excellent work. Best regards, Harry

Beautiful bird photo. You captured an excellent pose. Fine details and nice glint of light in eye. The colors are so natural thanks to the outstanding exposure. Amazing DOF for f8.0 (but I guess that is what a 400mm lens will do) and great background. I really like quality bird photos such as this.

very nice capture nice dof ..tfs

Nice central subject that fills the frame nicely. Maybe a little bit too much PS work showing around the feet which could be neatened up and the right leg repaired where you cloned over it?

Hi Peter, a very good capture, very sharp details and nice colors.
Regards, Dan

Hello Peter , very crisp and well composed profile photo , TFS and good luck.

Hi Peter...Good pose and catchlight in the eye gives it good life. Looks like you've removed something from the background as there's some cloning marks here and there but most evident around the feet. Try selecting these areas and work around them so that they don't get smudged.
Overall a pleasant portrait, but needs more careful work. Best, Brat.

She's so pretty. We don't get Bullfinches up here in the frozen wastes! Lovely capture, especially the angle of her head. Cori
