A Chrysalis of an unknown Butterfly. Almost ready to hatch. You can see the wings have formed through the pupae shell.

This actually hatched this morning. I will post a picture of The Butterfly soon

Wow, Ron, this is fantastic.
That must have been quite a thrill for you to have witnessed this final stage of the metamorphosis.
A great macro shown in a wonderful POV that shows rarely seen details.
Rich colors and beautiful markings.
I can't wait to see the butterfly.
TFS. : )

Hi Ron,
very interesting post. I never seen this tyhat close up. POV, details and sharpness are excellent.
Very well done.

Great colors and sharpness.
I love the way the butterfly can be seen through the transparent shell.
Great job!

Life at its very beginning Ron.
I am intrigued to see what this butterfly is going to look like! You've got a tack sharpness here amid the beautiful colours of the chrysalis. BG is wonderful and lets us focus on the main subject.

Look forward to more, TFS

Hola Ron.
Esta a punto de salir la mariposa, preciosa imagen.Saludos.

Hi Ron,
This is a very interesting picture.
Well done macro with good sharpening. Maybe a dark background would have increased the color intensity of the Chrysalis. Even so, it's misterious and beautiful like... an alien jewelry.
