I will let you guess who it reminds me of with a mouth like that. The tail going in anger??
This Shoveler Duck was a couple of yards from its mate and they were having a preening session at Leighton Moss. It looked funny to me although there was no sound from her.

His mouth is really perfect, it's a little grey but it doesn't disturb. TFS.

Hi Peter, I really like this shot, I haven't seen the female Shoveler from this POV before, it is an amazing shot of that long beak! It's great. Good light and colour, perfect focus and sharpness, nice reflectoin in the water. They are always shoveling when I see them.
Great composition.

What a odd loooking critter! Looks like a female mallard with the bill of a duck billed platypus maybe? Great all round shot.

Great moment captured, Peter.
A funny scene.
I am amazed at those hairy looking things hanging from her beak. What are they?
Fantastic pose and expression.

hi Peter,
très belle image de ce canard, les détails sont fantastiques, jusqu'aux poils du bec. Très belle couleur.

Hi Peter

Great shot. i love the detail in the mouth and the sharpness of the feathers. The slightly longer exposure of 1/200 has tail has added a sense of movement to the picture which adds to it nicely.

nice sharp and the photo says alot.tfs mike

Hi Peter. Like the impact from this...much better than a sedate shot. Great detail and the blurring of the tail enforces the posture. Neat framing balanced from both sides and that pose is great. Best, Brat.
