|This is the Shoveler Drake the previously posted Duck was with. Plumage just changing from summer to Winter colours. Large bill with hairs on the inside for sieving out water fleas and other small objects of food as they shovel about in the mud of the lake bed.|
Camera settings:- ISO 400, AV, Spot metering, Cable release, 2 x converter, 1200mm focal length, Remote shutter cord.

Brilliant capture of this Shoveler captured from a very nice low viewpoint and in a lovely pose! Details of plumage are very impressive and colours great.

Hi Peter, an excellent of the Shoveler Drake. I have never seen them from this POV and have not seen this plumage which you have caught very well. Nice and sharp with great detail and colours. Great note.
this is a verywell composition with nice colors and sharp details,
the subject is just enough close ont the photo, i am telling
that because sometimes they are photos that the subject
is too close on the photo that a part of it is cut

excellent duck portrait, very well composed. The POV is exzcellent to get a great view of all those fabulous detail in the plumage. Sharpness and colors are great.
