[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Although Canada Geese are beautiful birds they are definitely becoming a serious pest in many parts of the country. Another problem caused by alien species being released into the wild with no predators to speak of.
I took this picture on a nature reserve while waiting for a chance of a Bittern which did not materialise.
Camera settings:- ISO 100, AV, Spot metering, Auto white balance, 840mm focal length, 1.4 x converter, Remote shutter cord.

Hi Peter. W hat a nice compostion of the Canada Goose. very good colours and detail.they are such bold birds which your POV shows.very well done TFS.

Hi Peter,
Good shot!
Good compo and colors.
The eye is black on the black, isn't too good IMO. Maybe I don't like so bold black border. :)
Anyway, very well done!
TFS and friendly regards,

Wow Peter,
This looks great.
I like the square you have selected for this one and you have captured the goose in a very nice pose and from a nice pov.
Good colours and light.

Hi Peter While I agree about canada geese being beautifull bird in your statement I don't believe they are a pest, they seem to adapt well to our environment and take little from the land I believe we humans are the biggest pests to the environment :-( lovely image tfs rgds Necip

Hi Peter, very nice setting for this Canada Goose. Nicely composed in the grass. It is a shame they are a problem as I find them very attractive. Good light and colour range in this shot and nice and sharp. Very well focused with excellent dof.
