[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is the first time I have seen the Fieldfare in my own location. In the rear garden is a hybrid Crab Apple tree with the rich red apples still on the branches. Over the last couple of days The Fieldfare has certainly had it's fill of the apples. According to the books the Fieldfare flocks and feeds together yet I have only seen the one on it's own, it visits gardens in server weather so that must be right with the weather we are having at the moment. They nest in bushes or trees with a nest of grass and twigs laying 5 to 6 eggs. They feed on worms, insects, berries and apples, also other fruit from trees and hedges.
