[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is another duck shot that I got at the huge pond/lake in the cotswolds wildlife park. It was raining quite a lot, as you can see in the picture, and it was cloudy which made it dark. I hope you all enjoy this shot.

Update
Taken from wikipedia:

The Chilöe Wigeon (Anas sibilatrix) is one of three species of wigeon in the dabbling duck genus Anas. Unlike other wigeons, the sexes are similar (though the male is often slightly brighter) and pairs are monogamous. This bird has a metallic green head, and a gray bill with a black tip. Its breast is barred black and white and its sides are orange brown. It has white cheeks and a white forward and also white on its wings. Its length is approximately 18 inches.
The female will lay between 6 and 10 eggs. This duck is rare in the sense that the male will help raise the young.
This duck is found in southern South America, on freshwater lakes, marshes, lagoons and slow flowing rivers. It breeds on The Falkland Islands, Argentina, Uruguay, and Chile. It migrates to southeastern Brazil for the winters. It is an omnivore.

Hi Sion. You have done well with the poor light and rain you had to take this picture . You were able to get a good close up of this Chilöe Wigeon . A good side POV so we can see the feather markings and colours. Well taken TFs.
Nick..

Hello Sion,
Very nice duck. The colours are superb and also the composition.

Hello Sion,
This is a beautiful image of the Chiloe Wigeon. Gorgeous plumage enhanced by the soft lighting and wonderful detail. The water rings caused by the falling rain add interest to the photo. Well done!!
Ron

Sion,

Beautiful bird here! I am going to have to make another trip back to Wales. I know it was a rainy day, but the bird's plumage was too beautiful to pass up so I did a workshop. The down side is that I think I made the water look like green slime.

:o)
