[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The European otter is part of the same family as badgers, weasels, stoats, pine marten and mink (Mustelidae). It is listed in the International Union for the Conservation of Natures' (IUCN) Red Book as 'vulnerable to extinction'. The number of otters in Britain is not known, but they are on the increase in some areas, including the Forestry Commission's otter haven at Kylerhea, in Skye, Scotland. This image was taken at TrekNature's day at the British Wildlife Centre.

Hello Dan!
Great shot! I like the otter looking at the camera aimed at it from a good POV, perfect focus and correct exposure. The composition is good, also, but I wish the animal's head were a little lower in the frame to get rid of some grass in the bottom of the image. I love the picture nevertheless.

Hi Dan,
Another nice shot of the Otter. Good detail, isn't it amazing how the water comes out blue every time? :-) I think the light that day was pertty bad, far too harsh but you've managed it well here, a good shot.
