At long last, I have managed to get a shot of this splendid moth (10 years+) which is very fast at moving from flower head to flower head.
This is a migrant visitor to the South of England from mainland Europe during the summer months. A day flying moth which hovers with hum. Taken from a distance so as not to scare it off.
Picture has been cropped about 60%
