|On a dull day we spotted this Kestrel on the highest point of a tree at the roadside as we were driving home. I drove passed it regardless of the scream to stop from 'you know who' and then slowly got my camera complete with 300-800mm lens from the rear seat and proceeded to take a few pictures balancing the outfit on the car roof rail. I know it had a good view but it could have found a more level perch!|
ISO 100, AV, Spot metering, 800mm focal length.

Details, pose and colours are really nice. I will suggest another crop to avoid that your object is in the center IMHO.

A very good photo of the Kestrel. You were lucky to gat such a clear photo like this. Good colour. you have got a lot of detail in his feathers. Well done.
Great shot Peter. The isolation of the Kestral against the background adds to the title. Well done in the conditions you took it in.
Sharp image. Haven't seen much shot with that lens. Seems to work pretty well...
