[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a long shot of this small (Sparrow size) migrant bird. It arrives in the UK each Spring to breed before departing in the Autumn for warmer climes. The pair I found near Shap Abbey in Cumbria were, most unusually, nesting on top of a window drip strip under the eaves of a bungalow. Most odd but they obviously felt safe and were feeding chicks.
Camera settings:- ISO 400, AV, Spot Metering, 1.4x converter, 1120mm Focal Length, Remote shutter cord.

Hi Peter
Nice shot made with powerful equipment :)
I like details and pose but more contrast and usm in combination with another way to crop your image will make better composition imho.
I have workshop for you hope you like it :)

When i looked at your picture, i thought of a different crop, then i saw ralf's workshop and he did it about the way i pictured.
Other than that, a good shot with good sharpness and DOP.
Just always remember that the rule of thirds composition makes pictures look better.

Again...a beautiful one.
Well composed; very well perched the Spotted Fly Catcher.
Great bokeh.
