hello JOE
bien vu pour cet insecte, bonne présentation, malgré que pour moi le cadrage est un peu serré, ceci reste une jolie photo

Hola Joe,
Hace tiempo me clasificó Felipe (Extramundi) una especie similar como Coreus marginatus, puedes verlo
HERE y HERE . La imagen muy bien detallada. Saludos
José Ramón

Hello Joe,
I like this composition very much as well as the DOF and the pose of the bug but it lacks sharpness most probably due to your low f/ number. Try F/4 or F/5.6 next time and see if you get better sharpness. You've got a camera that should do it!
TFS and all the best, Ulla

Hi Joe,
Unusual shot of this Shield Bug taken of the underside.
DOF is slightly out and detracts from the overall picture.

I wonder it those are aphids as well on the stem? What does this creature eat? I feel if this were larger, it would appear as an evil entity....methinks I have never seen anything like it. Thank you for sharing this gently taken picture...DOF looks ok to me, but what do I know.....Colors are subtle...I like!

Daring and original perspective for a bug picture, Joe. Most of us go for the top view whereas you have captured the bug from below.

As Ulla has pointed out, the sharpness is not evenly spread on the entire subject. I too am given to low f-numbers, scared that if I do not allow sufficient aperture, my picture would go all dark :-).

Anyway, one learns a lot from people's considered viewpoints here on TN.

Excellent point de vue. L'oeil est bien net.
Bonne journée.

Hello Joe,
Nice pov and composition. Great color contrast and blurred background. Well done and well seen image.
