[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
It is baby bird time again and this Greater Spotted Woodpecker must have a brood somewhere judging by his beak full of the mealworms I had put out for the Great Tit chicks. I don't know what he has been rolling in as he was all white the first time he came.
Camera settings:- ISO 400, AV, Spot metering, Manual white balance, Remote shutter cord, 800mm focal length.

Hi Peter,
Funny pose of the Greater Spotted Woodpecker, your timing was very good to catch him with a beak full of worms :o)Nice POV and composition. TFS

Hi Peter,
This is a fantastic image. It certainly must have a big family to feed, what a feast. The image is of excellent quality. Nice.

Great capture Peter.
I can't imagine what caused the brown.
If the weather was wet then perhaps the entrance to his hole was a bit soggy?
Good shot anyway.

This is a Wow shot Peter! A great moment to catch, beautiful Woodpecker showing how handy it is to have a large beak. As usual, well composed with good focus, detail and sharpness. Colours are magnificent and you have caught great light. Excellent all round.
Sorry points 2mro...

Hi Peter,
Lucky you, we don't have these fellows here...
