This is the view of the Cuillins as seen from Elgol beach. Elgol beach has some fascinating rock formations, best Iv ever seen from any location Iv been to (well second maybe..Gaints causeway ?). I got here late in the evening to check the place out for the following morning. It was raining and the route across to this spot was quite slippery.

Just after I took this shot a sea otter jumped up unto that far left rock for a few secs before spotting me and fleeing. It startled me and I just missed a great photo opportunity.

Hi Stephen, beautiful shot with excellent colour and contrasts. I like the way you have these rocks so evident in the foreground. You may have sacrificed some of the detail in the background for this, but it's worth it. Excellent lighting throughout.

Thanks, John

Bonjour,
Le léger flouté de l'eau rend le cliché intéressant.
Bonne journée.

Hi Stephen,
Excellent image. The water; light; foreground rocks; POV; and silhouetted mountains look just superb. What a wonderful composition, I am very impressed.

Hola Stephen,
Excelente trabajo,
bellos efectos y pov,
estupenda atmósfera,
saludos

Nice one Steve,
You've got a great eye for landscape composition and always show a great perspective.
Nice moody shot of the Loch and clouds.
Excellent work as usual.
Cheers, Steve

This photo brought back some great memories for me. I visited the Isle of Skye as a child. The drama of this photo captures the mood of the island perfectly. Nice DOF and metering -- dark enough to invoke the feeling of dusk but still catch all the details.

Hello Stephen,
great(as always) wide angle; very moody.
Well done

Hi Steve,
Not bad for the pinhole camera thing ;}
Nice arrangement of the landscape features here, expressing that 3rd dimension well. Very good angle of view, and I like the late light in that interesting sky way off yonder.. :)
Very well done.

Hi Steve,
I think you were a bit more lucky with the sunrise then I was. I just had the disadvantage that it came too early. The overall cool blue color is wonderful, but the spot of warm light gives the entire photo something extra. The rockformation does look great and you managed to do wonders with it.
TFS,
Niek

:) tomorrow

This is really nice Steve. I could make an album of all the just missed shots! They are permanently etched in my brain! I like the shutter speed you chose as the water doesn't look as milky white as some other shots. It looks more natural. I love the sharpness of the foreground rocks and the wonderful warm/bright spot in the sky and its shimmering reflection that draws one into the scene. Nice work....again.

Thanks for sharing
Evelynn ; )
