[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I managed to get this shot while with my family at 'Cattle Country' adventure park. This shot was taken at the edge of a pond, I had stopped because there were hundreds of Common Blue Damselflies here, I was trying to get a decent shot when this fella turned up. Unfortunately there was a fence between us so I could not get closer.
This is a male Broad-bodied Chaser(Libellula depresso)
SIZE 40-45mm: wingspan 70-80mm
HABITAT Watersides and surrounding countryside
RANGE All Europe except Scotland, Ireland and far North
SEASON April-September
