Remarkable image of the Common Blue, Joe.
In this capture too, your deft handling of your 180mm has given you a sharp, crisp and colourful picture.
Relax and enjoy your break.
When the things would be back to normal, I am sure you would come back with many more fresh and beautiful images like this one.

Hola amigo,
preciosa macro con efectivo foco,
color y bella composición...
espero tu retorno.
saludos Joe.

Dear Joey,
a Common Blue at rest shown with precision and tender care.
A state of peaceful relaxation that looks quite inviting, indeed.
Delight to see the precision of your work by which you are revealing finest details on wings, furry body and legs, mouth parts.
The soft natural light allows us to see so many slightly different delicate hues.
A very carefully arranged simple and clear composition stands in perfect harmony in front of an ideally well supporting neutral background.
Due to a wisely chosen short depth of field, the curved leave's gradual drift into softness adds to the atmospheric beauty of that image.
Thank you for this wonderful, very enjoyable posting.
Have a very good time to relax and enjoy.
Looking forward to seeing you again.

Hi Joe, great diagonal composition with elegant butterfly, beautiful colors, good details and excellent sharpness, very well done, ciao Silvio

Hi Joe

It is great to see that positive mind-set starting to shine through again. It is that climb-in-and-work-for-success attitude that has seen your speedy growth into a remarkable photographer and as a very valuable member of the family on this site. I am confident that you will overcome the quandaries at hand. I believe that eventually (and I hope to see it sooner than later) the normality will settle in and once again we will experience good times on TrekNature and see your wonderful contributions on all fronts and activities of the site. Thanks for your commendable gesture towards all those you have mentioned and acknowledged in your notes.

You have nailed this little common blue in an excellent capture. Great sharpness of details overall with just a slight bit of falloff in the range of the DOF showing on the tip of the antennae's. The stunning BG aids to bring the sharp detail of the body hair and the lovely contours of the butterfly's profile to the fore. The colours are rich and that is especially visible in the attractive patterns on the underwing.

Very well done and TFS.
I'll be on the lookout for you with anticipation.
Best regards

Superb composition

Hi Joe,
I have been away lately, taking on and off vacations... It's hard for me to follow what happened here recently... Anyway, this is an excellent capture of a cute little creature. You have caught superb details in good composition. We don't have many butterflies here this summer... Thanks,

Hi Joe,

The close-up image of the butterfly on the leave is allowing us to see the details and colors of the insect which are clear and sharp. The light brings out the best of the colors. I am not to sure what happened, your work will be missed.
