Taken on a recent bird photography trip with friends. Surprisingly easy to take as the birds were very used to human presence.

Hi Ann , welcome to Trek Nature , a nice photo to start off with the colors are so strong it almost looks surreal , a nice composition and good moment to capture , only thing that is putting me off on this nice photo is the small size ? you are allowed 800 pixel max...

well quick count 3 good points , 1 not so good point= 1.75 ....hmmmm well have to round that up eh :-)

nice share , hope to see more

The image is small but it is technically outstanding. Wonderful color contrasts, perfect exposure, excellent detail, outstanding DOF and excellent composition. What species of bird is this?

This is a wonderful shot Ann. You know you can post photos a lot larger than this. (800 pixel per longest side)

Color exposure and sharpness all look excellent to me. I would dearly love to see puffins this close. I'm surprised you could get so close.

Evelynn : )

Hi Ann,
I like a lot the pose of the couple and the composition you managed to get of them.
Deep of field worked great focusing the attention on the birds.
I would love to see the picture at 800 pixels wide to enjoy even more of it.
Congratulations and thanks for share it.
My best regards,
JM
