Hi Paul,
Lovely scene with vibrant colour, good detail and composition and above all that F16 DoF. You must dust off some more if they are this quality.

Hi Paul,
This is like a fairy tale!
DOF is so good, it seems that the tree branches are getting into my screen, as well as the amazing greens around.
And what to say about the sky? Pretty amazing.
My compliments and thanks for bring it to the light.
Best regards,
JM

Paul...not sure if you ever heard this from me..only one perhaps..."I'm going to have to break your hands" :-) This is what I used to say when I was a young musician and guitar player...I usually opened for some big name acts such as Gordon Lightfoot and others..back in the 1960's...and they played so doggone well I would turn to my singing partner and tell her..I am going to have to break thqat guys hands...it meant obviously that ones hands were much much better than mine...and in this picture...all alone if this were the only one you had on TN, I would stop dead in my tracks and try to emulate it in someway. It is beyond good Paul.

Hi Paul
A very beautiful shot from your archives and a splendid view over this sector of the New Forest.
I really like you composition here because the tree almost devides the colorful sky in two: colder tones on the left and warm ones on the right.
The effect created is almost surreal and therefore the value of your capture is exceptional.
Very good control over the exposure and excellent sharpness all the way.
Bravo and TFS

Hi Paul.
You are magician. You can do with colour palette all what you want. Fantastic. Sky is in a fire. And tremendous green and blue colours opposite. Pictured scene is amazing too. Alone tree is looked perfectly. Bravo. Fantastic job.
Alexei.
Hi Paul!
This is one of best sunsets I've ever seen! I love composition with tree dividing picture between two parts - blue and orange one. Breathtaking picture, it remainds me cover of record of an old art rock band, Marillion, Dream Theatre or something similiar.

Hi Paul
I love the lighting here. The colours are really beautiful too. The cirro-cumulus clouds add a lot of movement to the shot and compliment the form of the Scotts Pine.

Merhaba Paul,
Bu ne kadar etkileyici bir manzara! Yeşilin muhteşem tonlarıyla birlikte, sağda güneşin kızıllandırdığı enteresan bulutların yanında solda masmavi bir gökyüzü, seyri doyumsuz bir güzellik oluşturmuş. Çok başarılı bir kare. Paylaşımınız için çok teşekkürler.

Hi Paul,
I am going to envy your harddrive. If you are comming up with such great photos from the past. I am going to say that life isn't fair. I don't think I've got these kind of stunners in a sleeping mode on my harddrive.
The shape of this tree is very beautiful and I do hope you are going to show this tree more often. Maybe in a different season and with different light. Speaking about light. That sunset is awesome.
TFS,
Niek

Hi Paul
Wow, I mean WOW. This is one of those shots that one cannot help but saying, "I wish I took that one". Absolutely fabulous and to think that it came from your archives. Wow. Even from the thumbnail I could see this is a stunner and I wonder if you did not deliberately place it in the archives to keep us waiting although we did not even realise we missed it (chuckle).
Opening the photo made me take a deep breath while the visual impact took hold of me and then I sat backwards and really enjoyed the view, from corner to corner (all 4) and then from top to bottom and back to the top. The tree split the two toned sky in half - fire to the right and the clouds to the left hold the promise of water. The bottom 1/3 is earth with the living vegetation and the tree reaching to the sky and the incredible clearness of the image represents air (wind). There you have it all: earth, wind, fire and water. Superb work.
Well done and TFS.
Regards

What a wonderfully captured sunset with the tree as the divider. It almost looks like the tree is burning on the right. Sunsets can become so cliche but yours here is something out of the ordinary... spectacular. TFS
