Hi Everyone,

just thought i'd share this one with you, taken from very near to my last post. In fact, you can see the algae covered rock that features in the FG in that shot here on the right of the frame.
So this is looking East, obviously, directly into the rising sun. The golden strip of land right on the horizon is the Isle Of Wight.
This was a very beautiful sunrise and one that i found suprisingly easy to shoot, with no messing or faffing around. Sometimes i seem to have a bit of a nightmare finding what i call the 'Goldilocks Moment' - not too bright, not too dark but just right!
Pleased to say on this occasion i got this straight off in one shot...not bad for a bleary eyed Paul first thing in the morning! Doesn't happen often...

Thanks for looking, hope you had/are having a good weekend...

Well well

You are back to your best here, it seems like a scene from a film from the 70's. I can imagine Dr Zaus from Planet Of The Apes coming from behind one of the boulders.
All of that drivvle aside there is a wonderful mix of full fat colours here with a composition that you have a full mastery of.
Pop pop that man.

Hello Paul,
Land of rising sun; probably the background of the house...:-)
Good wide angle. Well composed, applying the 1/3 rule layer-wise.

Hello Paul,
Nice details and colours. Some waves can be seen despite the long exposure. Well done. TFS,
Catherine

Hi Paul,

Or is it "Land of Hope and Glory" (Vera Lynn)

Good wide angle. Well composed and full of very nice sunrise colours. A beauty again.

Thanks and TFS BOB

Hello Paul,
Amazing colors, great DOF. Looks like an undiscovered planet.
best regards
Sibel

Hello Paul,
Right place, right time. Another beautiful scene with a great DOF and colours. The space between the rocks on 1/3 of the photo makes the composition excellent. Great sharpness.

Peter

Merhaba Paul,sımsıcak bir fotoğraf.Büyülenmemek elde değil.Yanan bir gökyüzü ve parlayan kayalıklar süper, tamda şimdi orada olmak istenmez mi hiç,ellerine sağlık :)

Hello Paul,
Fantastic scene very nicely captured. I love the low POV from behind the rocks and the glimpse of the Isle of Wight on the horizon. Excellent DOF and wonderful light and colours.
TFS and best wishes, Ulla

Hello Paul,

Getting up so early in the morning deserves a certain amount of luck! Though whether luck is the right word, I'm not sure. Perhaps experience is closer to the mark!
This is a wonderful shot, capturing excellent f/g details, a lovely, silky textured m/g and a b/g which just oozes warm colours. I know I have had a glass of wine with my ,eal, but the sky appears to be moving forwards! Perhaps I should take a little more water with the alcohol!

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

NOT sure if any techniques would work for you..You have the Paul setting on don't you in this one?;-) And I imagine you shoot in RAW so as to alter any slight errors....My fine 169 dollar Fuji-Cheap is a bit different...which is why I am still using the Canon video..Video gives super quality to anything within 50 feet but doing landscapes involves some pretty artsy tricks to make it palatable..

Another beautiful seascape Paul.

Hallo Paul
Absolutely beautiful. This one is worth a frame and a place on your wall. Like always you presented us with a wonderful view of nature. The details in your image are very clear, and the rocks in this scenery adds a extra speciality to this already special image. The calmness of the sea and the colours in the sky as far as one can see is just a feast to the eye. Almost as if an artist dropped his paint in the heaven, and the colours mixed to form this layers of beauty. A view to admire and appreciate. Thanks for sharing.
Kind regards
Anna

Hello Paul, Well shot and you always produce master piece in the landscape shot. Great one Ganesh

Hi Paul

It is rather nice to see someone else posting sunrises - soon I will be able to as well... once the sun just swings round to the right a little more and the hour matches my alarm clock...

Now to the picture - Great colours and composition. Did you use the flash as well - the rocks seem lit from the front? just curious because I am always trying to work out coastal shots - actually took none in Ireland! Anyhow - great shot and nicely done

TFS

Hello Paul,
çok güzel çalışmalar.

Hi Paul,
wow - I love your work so much and I will have a look to your Archive after writing this.
I missed so many wonderful shots during the last 11 months. The colours are so fantastic, the water is silky, it's perfect, thanks and greetings

Cheers mate!

Another beautiful sunrise shot from you!
I see the parts from your other photos from this place and i kept thinking which is best...and i think i like this one better :)
Great composition here and amazing colors above the horizon!
The natural contrast between the sky and the clouds is great and gives a lot of atmosphere to the scene.
Further more, the texture in the FG are gorgeous and the overall excellent exposure made sure you'd get good details from every part.

On a personal level, i think i would have tried to take a shot sooner. Perhaps i would have lost some of the vivid colors but i would have also lost the over exposed part in the upper part. Anyway...this is subjective ;)

Bravo and TFS

Hi Paul.
I like wonderful note and so nice seascape picture. Low POV and rocks on a BG are looked greatly. I also impressive with brilliant composition and framing of the scene and fine reproduction of an impressive cloudy sky and first sun beams. Long exposure time creates a nice effect of water surface reproduction as usual for your works. My all compliments and TFS.
