[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hello,

one from the archives this time. Taken just before last christmaso n a bitterly cold day, this is looking East at Warren Edge towards Hengistbury Head, a spot that i now live only a 10 minute walk away from and some of you may recognise from previous postings of mine.
On this day, i remember i had been out in the woods walking with friends all day and only stopped by here on my way home on the off chance conditions might be favourable for shooting, as i had come home empty handed and was determined to get something.
Here you can see the type of pink sky that we only get here when the weather is freezing but the air very clear with extreme high pressure. To me, this just oozes with Winter, my favourite time of year.
I only discovered this one as i was clearing out my files so i thought i'd save it from the recycle bin and give it an airing, hope you like it!

shot in RAW, tweaked curves a touch, removed some dust/water spots and increased saturation plus 4. Converted to JPEG, resized and sharpened.

Thanks for looking..

Another fine example of deepening the DOF with a wide angle shot and moving the water to a silky texture by a long exposure Paul, the rest is history my friend, TFS this fine image.
Mehmet

another beautiful Landscape/Seascape image with fine POV
on the rocks and the vertical framing gived alot of DOF to the image,

I don't shoot a lot of landscape but when I do I can only hope to get shots as beautiful as this. I love the slow shutter making the water silky smooth and the colors are so natural and beautiful. Great shot. TFS

Hi Paul.
Wonderful colour and fantastic detail and exposure, love the slow shutter effect. The lighting on the rocks is great in the foreground.

Hi My Friend,
Great seascape Paul with a beautiful color palette and scene superb captured as always. Cheers Mate.

Lovely composition Paul.
This doesn't look too different to where I photographed the seals the other day, although,I guess,a closer inspection would reveal entirely different fauna and flora.
Nice work!

hi paul,
another fine experiment gone very well, nice lighting and composition. i wonder how this same scene looks with higher shutter speed to arrest the movement of the water. tfs.

Hello Paul, This is truly amazing shot. Superb use of techniques here and excellent landscape with good composition. Ganesh

Hi Paul,
I was not there, in TN, from long time ago and when I come back, I see that your images were, are and will be always "maravillosas". It's fantastic to take some relaxed minutes and observe them....
Thanks, many thanks

I have never been at the ocean in winter and it just came back to my mind, younger, I dreamt of going at the beach in winter. And there it is in your pictures, they are so beautiful, Paul, they fill me with joy looking at them. The colours are great, the light is superb, the composition is perfect. Thank you,

Francine

Cheers mate :)

Nice one here! I really like the dynamism in this one: the strong contrast of the moving waves with their foam right against some massive immobile rocks it's quite catchy.
The exposure is very well controlled and it also came with a nice color palette, making the textures of the rocks feel more "alive".
Very nice vertical composition here and good presentation.

Bravo and TFS

Hi Paul

Cleaning out files! you have too much time on your hands! Do you want to plough through my lot as well? New to build a new computer and have to have a clean out first....

Great shot - so very typically you... no insult intended there... but it is rapidly becoming your style... I love the effect on the water and can't help wondering landscape to get the long sweep of the water in... but it would probably not work...

One thought though and I know you are going to shoot yourself in the foot... have you noticed all of the water/dust spots on the picture - in the sky and also in the white of the water... guessing you were rushing a bit - not like you to miss them... but I prefer to be honest...

Lovely colours and clarity though..

TFS

What a stunning shot, Paul!
The lighting and soft colours are so peaceful and atmospheric.
Very good clarity.
Excellent contrast between the crisp rocks and blurred sea.

Very, very well done mate!

Cheers,
Joe

Hi Paul yet another of your great shots you have certainly got the art of the slow shutter speed, and putting it in the vertical position and the rocks in the forground with wonderful colours makes this a special well done again

As usual, very beautiful shot, mate!Love the compo, it's really awesome!
Cheers!

Ciao Paul, splendid seascape, great composition with wonderful rocks in FG, fantastic exposure and superb light, very well done, ciao Silvio

Hi Paul,
I really like the surf in this photo. It comes so far up the beach and creates such a wonderful motion pattern. The wonderful warm colors in the sky and the emptyness give the photo a great serene feel. maybe making some spots in the rock less bright might be an idea.
TFS,
Niek
