I thought I'd delay further posts of the Blackbird fledgelings as there may have been some dramatic developments......
This little robin is also a regular visitor to my garden, in fact it's nearly always visiting the same time as the parent blackbird, and I've sometimes wondered if it's a foster parent!

Data: 200mm focal length, Aperture priority, 800 ISO.
PP:Convert from RAW, -0.35 exposure, USM 500/0.5/0. Crop, re-size, USM again, add border and tag.

The focus is perfectly set on the bird, which is well positionned. The remainder of the photograph is a little drabe however.

Perfect POV and composition with the bowl in the center.
Pity that the bowl isn't empty - then the sad colours and gloomy mood would gave the impression a bit more suitable for your title. Though I think the robin is really happy that it is full ;-)

Hello Andy,

This is a very nice capture. The Robin is very sharp, very well exposed and has great colors. The BG is very nicely blurred and oof. I also think this picture has a very strong composition and the robin poses perfectly. I have one nit and that's the white plate ... it distracts a little, although it's not OE. Anyway, all in all a great picture. TFS!
