[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This youngster hasn't got much in the way of antlers but he posed so beautifully for his portrait. As you can see the light is completely different from my last deer shot. When I took this shot it was a cold day with high white clouds.

Hey Karan...go check out Joeys Hedge Hog!:-)

This is a super straight on in the eyes shot...the eyes almost make the whole image...hard to concentrate on the rest because it is so real I feel it is looking at me...very neat Karan!

Hi Karen. He may have small antlers But he looks a fine young male. I am sure his time will come in a few years. You have taken him head on with good detail and colours in the fur. From this POV we can see the huge brown eyes. well done TFS.

Hi, how are you?
This greeting is addressed to young stag. I am sure answer will be positive.
Simply amazing POV and eye-contact. Very creative idea and subject. I also like wonderful passage from razor sharp image of the animal head and amazingly coloured smooth BG. Well done. My best wishes.

Hi Karan,

He certainly is posing nicely - very nicely. He has a beautiful face and such a gentle expression. The face is wonderful with lovely colors and shading and razor sharp detail. Ears, eyes, eyelashes, and his nose are marvelous. His fluffy coat is beautiful and seems to be keeping his warm. I think it's cold everywhere - even here in Arizona.

Karan,

Hi Karan,
His frontal pose is very impressive. He looks highly interested in what you are doing. As if he's trying to stick his nose into your business. I love the sutble difference in color between his coat and the dead ferns. It show how well they are able to blend in with their surroundings. The details in the head are awesome and I love the reflection in his eyes. The filtered light allowed for wonderful colors and lovely soft contrast.
TFS,
Niek

Superb shot, Karan.
He posed very beautifully indeed. Great symmetry; beautiful animal. You applied a good depth of field. I do like the foreground stuff as well. You're lucky the latter has a brownish color as well.
Excellent work!
