[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Here's a shot of a leaf with lots of droplets which I photographed in my house a few days ago.
I stacked 5 different photos to get this large DOF.

I hope you like it!

Hello Joe,
Very beautiful composition and a fabulous light caught in the drops on these leaves, leaves which have a very special coloring and shape.
An very artistic picture.
Take care
Kind regards

I have an idea. You pack your bags and come to my place over the ocean. Then spend a week teaching me how to do this. I know for sure it takes good close up micro lens, patience and steadiness...but then you add your special framing and the depth of field..Question?! Do you or can you with your camera...preview the depth of field before you shoot? this was true in many film cameras back in the day...and in return I shall show you the lakes and the Palouse...GOOD shot Joey!

Hi Joe, I do like it. The series of shots was well executed for this compilation. With some notes explaining better how you did this technique it may well help a lot of members improve their skill.

At the same time, it really teaches us nothing about the world of nature, unless of course you attach some notes describing the plant and or physics around the water droplets. I refer you to the quote in the Terms of Service, "As the purpose of TrekNature is to learn about the world of nature through photography, shots of common objects (like closeups of garden plants, water droplets, etc.) tend not teach us anything without a suitable note, so unless there's a suitable note they will be deleted at the discretion of site moderators. If you wish to post these types of image please consider using our sister site TrekLens."

Normally I would ignore a post such as this Joe, but I do consider you a senior member of our group. A lot of people will follow your lead in posting shots such as this one, and it just doesn't belong.

Thanks, John

Joe Kellard,
An amazingly interesting arrangement.

Warm regards from Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Hi Joe,

How in the world did you do that??? The colors and details of this leaf are outrageous. It would be beautiful even without the water droplets, but with them it is sensational.

I think the water will fall off if I touch the leaf!
This is so real!
I keep sayin this, mate, you're the best!

Hi Joe,

very nice artistic one.
I like such pictures.
Exellent detail and good seeing it with fine pov.

Beautiful colours.

It looks like a pendant Joe. These kinds of patterns are common in nature, but we often ignore this. This is what makes you special young man. Its nice to see u churning out such wonderful pictures. Here the viewers eyes moves harmoniously from the center drop to the contours of the leaf and does not go wayward, which implies its a very good photograph.

PS: I don't believe that this does not belong here! Photography as an art form in nature is also important as it can show us view points which cannot be seen with naked eye.. so please continue posting such pics Joe ( for me everything that not man made is nature!! )

Focus stacking rocks!

Hi mate OwMan,
An aestheticaland superbly taken makro capture with a charming atmosphere.
Well done MF!

Great shot of these droplets Joe.
Very nice composition, detail and natural colour.
Cheers & TFS

Hi Joe,
A nice capture of these water droplets. Which gives a magnified view of the leaf. Well composed and very good sharp details. Thanks a lot for sharing.
