Hello Nick,
Fantastic photo of this Dunnock in superb sharp details and beautiful natural colours. The yellow colours in the BG make this photo very pleasant to look at through the beautiful contrast. Perfect POV and a very good composition.

Hi Nicholas,

Wow, what a pretty closeup shot of this adorable bird! The eyes are the best part of the picture. Other features include: great sharpness, well chosen POV and well managed DOF. There exists a wonderful contrast between the colors of the bird (especially the eye) and blurred yellow BG. Just amazingly well done!
The blurred yellow flower enhance the beauty of the picture drastically.
Great work!

Hello Nicholas,
I discover this nice portrait of a bird that is difficult to present what with all the grey and drab brown colors. But there is much more to it as your picture shows. Well done, Nicholas.

The Dunnocks in the Botanical garden of Cambridge University have become famous for their complex mating system and the discovery of sperm rejection by females.

Best regards

Hello Nick,
How I envy you being to take such fine close shots of the Dunnock! The lateral POV against the OOF yellow foliage BG is great and taken with excellent sharpness.
The Dunnock is rarer in Sweden and those that are about are very shy and stick to the shade among the bushes and trees. The best photographic opportunities are during the spring when the males sing a bit more in the open, but I have yet to succeed in taking a pic!
Thanks and all the best,

Hello Nicholas
tis is a very great shot, the details on the plumage are amazing, the colors of this Dunnock is very natural and the yellow BG highlights the bird very nicely
superb composition
Have a good night

Lovely color-contrast between the brown Dunnock and the yellow of the background. Makes the picture very special. Excellent sharpness on the birs too (like always). Nice glance of the bird towards the beholder.
Thanks and kind regards
