Another photo from last year. I shot this Migrant Hawker on the Somerset levels in late summer.

Hi John. I have yet to get one in flight so maybe i will be lucky this summer. A good head on shot with good detail in the haed and body. It stands out from the plain BG. well taken TFs.

Excellent capture which is not at all easy to make. I'm amazed at the DOF you got out of f/2.8.

Hi John,

I like your capture of the dragonfly very much. I noticed that you did something that I have been meaning to try. You left your ISO low and didn't try for a really fast shutter speed. The result is that you didn't stop the wings, but you managed to get the body focused very well. The blurred wings don't detract from the image. And, with the low ISO, you have a quality image. I intend to try something like that this year. I did a workshop to try to improve your image a little. I just did noise reduction, sharpening, contrast and hue enhancement.
