|This Peacock butterfly was quite happily feeding on a Sweet William flower, common in Britain and Ireland except in N. Visits garden flowers. Adult flies July-September and again in spring after hibernation. Under-wings smoky-brown but maroon upper-wings have bold eye markings. Caterpillars feed on common nettle. Wingspan 60mm|
