[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
When I went to visit the Farne Islands and Bass Rock this year, the puffins, terns and gannets were doing well on staple diets of sand eels. |

Hi Dan
Oh that is just stunning. What a great in-flight shot, everything in focus with great sharpness. Excellent composition. The only thing I would have done is clone out the OOF bird in the background. I did that in the workshop for you to compare, TFS.
Chris
amazing capture, TFS Ori

Hello Dan,
A first class capture of an Atlantic Puffin with its catch of sand eels that is technically excellent. I agree with Chris about the OOF puffin in the Bg though.
Sand eels in the Baltic are an essential source of food for auks and terns. I have watched Sandwich Terns dive for them from a height of over 10 meters near where I live.
Thanks and regards from Sweden,
Ivan
Forte abraço do Sul do Brasil!!!
Hi Dan,
Very nice shots.
Nice vivid colors and an image created at the mouth of the fish.
Perspective, light and sharpness, very fine.
Thanks for sharing.
Best Regards,
Mehmet
Dear Dan,
Great shot of this funny face; the way the catch is carried, makes it look like a long (excuse me, mustache owners) moustache!!
I have yet to produce a successful photo of a flying bird, and I greatly envy you - 1st the exciting sight of this special looking bird - and 2nd this glorious image.
Have a nice evening
Greetings from South Africa
Ingrid
