[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note

hope you're all well, thought i'd share this, from a rare moment of winter sunshine on the south coast of the UK. This is taken at the unimaginatively named 'Freshwater Beach' near Burton Bradstock in Dorset, where a stream cuts it's way through the fine grained shingle down to the sea.
The geology here is amazing, with the Sandstone cliffs glowing in the background. They were laid down in the Jurassic period, around 145 million years ago. There are many fossils to be found wedged in these cliffs and at around their base, particularly Belemnites, which are usually well preserved. Ammonites and giant Oysters remains can be found too, although these are typically less well preserved. Fossil hunting is tolerated around here but obviously, gratuitous collecting in large numbers is not and is actually against the law.

Thanks For Looking...

Hello Paul
Impressive photo! The composition and the colours are perfect.

Hallo Paul
It is always so good to see your photographs an there is a void when you are not around. Only one word can describe this scenery and that is MAGIC. No, it is not true as there are many words that is just right to describe this magic view.

Thanks for sharing a piece of nature's magic.
Best regards.

Hi Paul,

A great composition with the lower cliff leading you into the sea. Just enough movement to capture the moment when the wave hits the lower rock. As usual spot on colours and contrast. Many thanks for a brighter moment, it will soon be spring, looking forward to more shots from you then.

Had missed your wide-angle, low shutter speed masterpieces Paul, again the DOF extends from that surf beaten rock in the FG to infinity, providing us with a wonderful naturescape. TFS indeed my friend.

Hi Paul.
Every time when I watch your amazing seascapes I wish to take my camera and to go to the seashore. Only then I remember that I have not your skill, wide angle lens and such wonderful places around. Superb view, amazing technique and top quality picture. Bravo.

Ciao Paul, fantastic landscape, wonderful colors, excellent exposure and splendid light, very well done my friend, ciao Silvio

Hi paul,
Nice to see a photo from you again. The timing on this photo is perfect with the wonderful splach breaking on the rock. Love the clarity and strong colors.
I see you invested in the Mark II as well. I have mine in for a little over two weeks but no time yet to take it out for a first try.
