[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I give you a LARGE POST on this to let you appreciate little details like the sheep on the far mountain side etc. I hope you like this one.

On Tuesday I took a hike up around the Mourne region which is a place of outstanding beauty. The Mourne Mountains are unusual in that their summits are grouped together in a compact area only 7 miles in breadth.

I have seen some great photographs of the unusual rock formations on some of these mountains. I would love to climb these mountains myself but I would need to buy a good detailed map of the area and know my routes etc.

The Mourne Mountains were formed 65 million years ago. They are made of granite which is an igneous rock. Granite produces a poor acidic soil and for this reason, crops are not grown but they are mainly used for sheep to pasture.

Hey Steve,

I like the composition a lot in this shot. Very strong. Good details and well exposed. Did you use a grad grey in this shot? Good POV and DOF. Well done & TFS! 7/10
