Hi Hollie, great shot with amazing details on the eye. Great light and colors.
It's nice you met other TN members, in Italy sometime we meet in a marsh area near Venice and spend a great day taking picture together, doing some birdwatching, and talking about nature and TN.

Hi Hollie,
Very nice to meet you again. Thanks for arranging a very enjoyable trip, It was great to meet and chat with a very friendly bunch of fellow TN'ers. I hope everyone got some nice shots.
I like the natural frame created by the grass and the narrow DoF works well to isolate the Polecat from his surroundings. It really does look like he's playing with you.
Regards,
Mark.

Hi Hollie,
I agree with Andrea, you're going to have to drop the novice tag :-) A good day out and I'm already looking forward to Arundel. A great shot here, excellent detail and colours on the Polecat. I think the vegetation here is fine, it adds a very natural feel. I've taken a few shots like this and my opinion is that if the eyes and nose are clearly visible it usually works well. Great shot.
Cheers,
Adrian

Nicely captured Hollie,
The details are nice, clear and sharp.
Good colours, lighting and exposure. The POV is good, the grass hiding the polecat add to the shot.
Well composed and nicely framed.
Thanks for posting, have a great end to the week.

Hollie,
thanks for a great day ok... it was great to meet a few more members .
Your picture has some really soft colours in it which is quite surprising given the weather yesterday and I love the angle and that 'got you' feel to the picture.

wonderful capture, i too think the grass works well and doesn't detract from his sharp eye and wet nose.!!
well done,
Graham.

Hi Hollie,
I like the natural framing of this Polecat with the grasses. The detail is very sharp around the face with a nice falloff in the DOF to give a more artistic composition and feel to this shot. Great catchlight in the eye adds alot.

I will have to get to the British Wildlife Centre at some point. I live so close to it in terms of distance but I can't drive so I have never been there. Photos like this make me think the bus/taxi combination will be worth it. The light in the polecats eye and where it is catching the wet nose is lovely. The setting is very natural. Colours are beautiful too. It sounds like you had a lovely day

Hi Hollie,
Very nice, I like it...perfect title :)
Excellent sharpness and detail, lovely color & light..Makes you feel like you're right there in the brush with it..I don't think the OOF grass is distracting, but rather provides great natural framing for that cute face ;)
Very well done.

Hello Hollie, I'm glad you had a good day out there. It was good of you to organise it - I know these things take more time than imagined.
Well done on the picture, I think it could have worked really well with the grass framing the head if there was a little head to be seen. It does have plenty of cute appeal. Well done.
*I've turned off my points, I cannot recieve and I cannot give. I'm sorry for the latter*

Good shot Hollie. I like the way the subject is hiding behind the oof grass. Colors and exposure are very good and the all important catchlight is there. Well done & TFS!

Pieter

I love the POV of this shot. Very sharp and I do get the sense of the title, "Peekaboo" Seems he is strying to be stealthy. Very cool shot. Not an easy shot on auto focus. :)
