This not a PP experiment - they are two seperate deer sitting next to each other. I liked the similar poses. Unlike the Red Deer Stags who are avoiding each other at the moment the Fallow Deer Stags seemed quite content to be in each others company.

The British Deer Society has some interesring information on the colour variations of the Fallow Deer:
"There are four main variations in coat but many minor variations also exist including a long-haired version found in Mortimer forest, Shropshire. The common variety is the familiar tan/fawn colour with white spotting (becoming long and grey with indistinct spots in winter) on the flanks and white rump patch outlined with characteristic black horse-shoe. The Menil variety is paler, lacks the black bordered rump and keeps its white spots all year. The black variety is almost entirely black with no white coloration anywhere. Finally, the white variety can be white to sandy coloured and becomes more white at adulthood. This is a true colour variety and not albinism, which is rare. The fallow is the only British deer with palmate antlers".

Hi Karan,
Nice post showing the interesting color variations within this species of Fallow Deer. Very good note explaining this as well.
Great sharpness, detail, and DOF.
Nicely done & TFS!

They are a very nicely matched pair, but I think the colour balance is a little out (as discussed elsewhere) and the image is affected by jpeg compression artefacts. I've done a quick workshop on colour balance.
Best wishes, Nigel.

Delightful capture, Karan. These two lovely but different looking deer look so cute.
You have captured them in a very interesting pose.
Very pleasant picture against a soothing green background.
TFS.

Hi Karan,
I read the thread started about the WS. I must say that the best would probably somewhere in the middle. I use a laptop as well, and I know what is 'wrong' with it and know how to work around it to get the best result. Luckely, I got a PC as well and can compare result that way.
Anyway, I love the sharp and very clear looking composition.

Niek
