[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
In the UK we call this group of toothed fungi Hedgehog fungi. This one is known by its english name Spinny Coral fugus or its latin name Hericium coralloides.
It grew on a dead ash tree for about five years at Wimpole, appearing as a fruiting body every autumn. However as the years went by so the quality of the fungal body diminished. This was the best I saw it over the years.

Lovely shot of this Hericium, it is on my wish list :)
If you posted a bit bigger getting advantage os the 800 pix. TN offers, we would see better details. I like the colours and composition.
