Roe Deer

Taken in a local nature reserve this male deer stared straight at me but couldn't see me although I was only about 20ft away. I cropped the pix to concentrate more on the deer's face. Roe deer are quite small, growing to around 75cm at the shoulder. They can live in the wild for 10 years. The antlers on the male are shed and then regrow in time for the mating season. |

Hi Christine, welcome to trek nature, it is a good picture of the Roe deer for your first posting. Deer are hard to photo in the wild.
They are always behind bushes.thanks for the notes about the Roe deer.
