Insects in flight-24 :

I will end this series of posts (once more, this time the insects have gone :-) with this Dragonfly (Aeshna cyanea). I hope you enjoyed it.

Technicals: 1/2'000 sec, f/4, ISO 800, tele 200 mm eq. serial shots, no flash
In PS I removed noise in the darker parts by blurring.

Hi Dietrich, the last pic of your incredible serie, but in my fields there are still a lot of butterflies and dragonglies,so you can do a trip there..ehehe...the pic is fantastic, the best sharpness on the body and on the wings, very difficult considering the very fast mouvement. Have a nice SUnday and thanks,Luciano

You conclude your series with a magnificent aerial capture, Dietrich. The entire dragonfly is in sharp focus and has a wealth of details on it.
We will wait for the next series to begin when the life cycle of insects re-appears.

Hello Dietrich,
Credit goes to you to get such perfect background even in such difficult situation. This picture is far better than your previous posts if we look at its POV, background and composition. It's always difficult to get perfect eye level shot such flying subject. Nice bokeh in the background.
Thanks for sharing and thanks for your inspiration on my last post.

Hi Dietrich
A beautiful dragonfly in an excellent picture. I picture that we all want to do some day.

hello Dietrich
une magnifique prise en vol; pas facile à faire, bravo pour ce coup!
Bon W-E

Hi Dietrich,
Very spectacular shot. Except for the lower wings, tack sharp with incredible details, while background is well blurred to gain the attention on the dragonfly only. Onee of the best photos from the series. Bravo!
Kind regards from Ireland, László
