Fritillaria persica is a member of the Liliaceae.
It has a many-flowered stem up to 60 cm high.
It is found in Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Syria, Israel and Cyprus. Here it is a rare plant, found only in two locations on the island.

Hello Yiannis,
Despite the harsh lighting this is a nice capture of F. persica. Apart from the OE areas the sharpness, and colours are excellent to make this a dine portrait of this species of Fritillaria.

I know this Fritillary from show gardens here but it must be fantastic to see it in the wild! I like the low POV and the fine details and colours even though it suffers a bit from the sharp light.
