[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is Ovis ammmon ophion, endemic subspecies of mouflon, living in Cyprus. Its synonym is O. orientalis ophion, O. aries ophion. Ssp. ophion is listed by IUCN as Endangered [EN]. It lives mountainous area of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and Southern Cyprus, especially the Troodos Mts. This is a adult male with long horns.
The photo was taken under shadow of pine forest (Pinus bruitia) in the Buffer Zone between two parts of Cyprus.
I shotted the photograph from top of car when slowly drived.
We saw totally ten mouflons today. Two young, five males and three females.

I dedicate this shot to Dr. Mustafa Sözen (spalaxtr) who one of the my best friend and he kindly edited it for me and Ivan Kruys ((Argus), who is good friend for me and he gave me some information about Cyprus fauna.
