Nice shot of this Nymphalidae!
The specie is an Argynnis pandora (Denis & Schiffermüller, 1775), known as Cardinal in english.
It belongs to the Nymphalidae Argynninae family.

great image of a female of the large and pretty fritillary called "Argynnis pandora" - as identified by Paulo.
Focus perfectly set on the head and the flat wing of the butterfly. The yellow flower in the foreground is a splendid representation of the butterfly's surroundings. The composition is well balanced in perfect harmony.
