[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This a a rather rare bee-orchid, found in Cyprus, Israel, and Jordan. The labellum is distinctly different from that of O. carmeli, and on the average larger.

In the WS you'll find pix of the entire plant and of the tip of a plant with three flowers.

nice super macro, I see you manage well with the new ring flash !
As for the name, I don't believe in this species, I consider it another form of O. umbilicata. dash Ori

Hi Ishi, spectacular wild specie and spectacular macro, the top of quality in a dark background as i like,a great gift to the orchid fans like me!Have a nice day and thanks,Luciano.

Hello Ishi
Great photo with very good composition, wonderful lighting and impressive sharpness. In Cyprus Ophrys flavomarginata is one of the most common orchids found in large homogenous populations. Ophrys umbilicata is also very common but flowers later than O. flavomarginata. O flavomarginata in contrast to O. umbilicata has always green perianth, larger flowers and the labellum has almost always a yellow border.
Regards,
Christodoulos
