[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Ferula communis (
Umbelliferae) is a tall, up to 2 meters, hemicryptophyte, quite common in the Mediterranean region. It is avoided by grazing animals (“anti-pastoral plant”), thus it is quite common in pastures. This specimen was photographed with a Pinus halepensis as its backdrop.

Picture was not cropped, just slightly contrast enhanced, reduced in size and sharpened.

Bonjour Ishi,

Amicalement
Hervé
