[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
One of the first flowers to bloom in autumn, Sternbergia clusiana (Amaryllidaceae) adds bright color to the otherwise dry background. As with other "early bloomers", it appears without leaves, which grow later in the season. Note the difference in color between the opening buds and the mature flowers. In Hebrew we call it "Helmonit", namely, "egg-yolk flower".

This group was photographed last November on Mt. Tabor (in Christian traditon, the site of the Transfiguration).

Hi Ishi,
Very good composition and colours.

Hi Ishi,
Beautiful flower and an interesting note. The depth of field and focus are good, although I think the yellow can be brought out better with a little effort in a good software package. I have made a small change in the attached workshop, which you can compare. Thanks
