Tulipa agenensis is a polymorphic bulb of the eastern Mediterranean. This one was found in Mt Hermon, 1500 m. Slopes of Man Vall;ey, where it is locally common. The species is protected in Israel. Recently it was cultivated successfully.

This is a lovely capture of a wild tulip and gives me a much better idea of how they looked before man started redesigning them. They really are quite beautiful to begin with aren't they.
Good composition, excellent lighting, perfect focus
