[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The name of the butterfly is Zygaena graslini or the Burnet moth. It's a moth that fly during sunshine days in march and April. This species is the most common Zygaena in Israel. It can be found from Turkey to Iraq and Israel. The female lay few hundreds of eggs on the host plants. After two weeks the caterpillars hatched from the eggs and after about 5 days they enter to summer astivation under rocks. Only in the winter, they wake up and start eating from host plants. In Februar (when its size is about 20 m"m), the caterpillars goes under rocks and become pupa.

The picture was taking with Close-Up Diopter +4 (without flash).

Hi there Oz, I wonder what this butterfly is called. Lovely colours and details, and his head and feelers are very sharp. Well done.
A note would be good to read about the butterfly.

Very nice close-up capture. Very good use of a very limited dof with the close-up lens. The colours and the composition are very nice.
Just a pity that you forgot to write a note about the picture. You do not need to be an expert in knowledge about the subject - but you can always write a little about the taking (use of exposure compensation, light conditions etc) which gives other photographers the possibility to learn from your experiences. - That is the meaning about this side and that makes it great.

Very good macro of what I think is a "six spot burnet moth" (Zygaena filipendula). You'll find some good notes on the site about this species, but a personal note is always appreciated. Nice colors with the BG daisy. Framing would gain with an off-center subject and a larger image. A smaller aperture (two stops or so), would still give you enough shutter speed, while improving your DOF (depth of field) a bit, giving sharper details on antennae tips and wings tips.

Nice shot, good colours and details. It's just a bit too small.

Very nice colors. Interesting subject.
I would have cropped a little so that the subject is less centered. the pic contains nothing relevant right and below.
Legs should be in focus.
