Roughtail Rock Agama (Agama stellio) is found in West Asia, North Africa and the Middle East. There are also isolated populations in southern Europe, may be introdused by human. In Israel it is outstandings reptile, also near and inside human settlements.
It's unusual to see it on a tree, and so exposed to danger. It ordinary seen on or nearby rocks, old stone fence etc. ready to run into a cleft and hide in disturbance.
