[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This wild cherry is quite abundant at the higher elevations of Mt. Hermon. It was found to be in full bloom three weeks ago. As the species name suggests, the little tree (actually a shrub) grows almost parallel to ground to withstand the fierce winter winds at those elevations. In late July and August it produces little cherries, much enjoyed by foxes and other wild animals.

This particular specimen grew “hugging” a rock, thus providing a good backdrop to bring out its beauty. The flowers are about 1 cm in diameter,

Bonjour Ishi,
Très intéressante ligneuse prostrée d'altitude. Le port de l'arbuste et la profusion de la floraison sont spectaculaires.
Magnifique image.
Amicalement
Hervé

Hi Ishi,

What a special growing plant and what a good photo you did. The stems crawlig on the rock look great. I do appreciate the very fine details of flowers, leaves and rock you have been able to render in your photo. The well adapted DOF give making even the stamins visible makes the plant look like a fine piece of jewelry.

Please allow me to put the photo to favorites.

Thank you for sharing,
Cristian

Hello Ishi,
a great shot and great discovery too. Brilliant colour and composition. Never encounter such a wild cherry in this situation. Maybe a bonsai kind of thing would be great.
Great shot and excellent arrangement of natural flowers through your lens.

Regards,
Foozi

Fantastic shot of this rare beauty. The color of the flowers is magical. Is it plant suitable for arid climates?

Cheers,

Sayat
